- Due to the electronics within the light switch, a 35mm depth box is required.
- Are the touch range all dimmers?
- No, they are either touch on/off or dimmer versions (clearly stated on product description), optionally can be controlled by small remote.
- Can the Touch light switches be controlled remotely through walls and ceilings?
- Yes, the only the touch remote versions use RF (radio Frequency) technology up to 30 meters.
- Can the Crystal Touch/Remote range be used 2 ways?
- The Crystal touch/remote range are available in 1,2 & 3 gangs & come either "1 way" or "2way/intermediate". All 2 Way models do not work with conventional rocker mechanical switches as they are not touch models. (NOTE: Touch Dimmers are NOT available in 2way/Intermediate).
- Will the remote control or light switch interfere with any appliances I have in my home?
- The Crystal touch/remote ranges use Radio Frequency and will not interfere with WiFI, Bluetooth or infrared signals as they are on a different frequency (433Mhz).
- Will my next door neighbour be able to turn on or off my lights remotely if using the same system?
- No, each individual remote is code locked to ensure that only the pre-programmed remote works with that particular switch.
- My small remote is not working?
- The remote may not be synchronised with the touch light switch, please follow the instructions (included in box) to pair the two together again. (Please check red light flashes when a button is pressed if not dead battery?
- Can more than one mini remote be programmed to one light switch?
- Yes, you can buy additional mini remotes to be able to have one upstairs and one downstairs giving you the 2 way function remotely upto 4 per switch.
- Does the Master Scene Remote Control work with all light switches?
- The Scene remote control only works with Crystal Touch & Remote range of switches (will not work with Touch only switches) and can control upto 27 gangs and upto 2 scenes up to a distance of 20m.
- What is the purpose of a master scene remote when I have a mini remote included?
- If you have more than 2 or 3 light switches, the scene remote gives you the ability to turn all lights ON or OFF, or set scenes (ie. certain patterns of lights on or off) or individual lights on/off same as mini remote.
- Will your touch switches work with home automation systems?
- Yes, Fibraro, Delta-Dore, Loxone and mode are the ones we have tested and work well.
- What is the size of the Crystal ® Touch Range ?
- The switch is 86 x 86 mm
- Are glass switches safe to use in my home?
- Yes, the glass is toughened/tempered glass (when broken will crumble into chunks instead of into sharp jagged pieces, less likely to cause injury) with chamfered edges to ensure the glass is Not sharp.
- Will the glass show finger prints easily like a metal switch does?
- The glass does not show finger prints like a metal switch, not necessary to continually buff the switch, the glass is very easy to clean and is very hygienic.
- Can I match the colour of my glass splash back with your switches ?
- Yes, for an additional cost the glass can be sent away to UK company to get colour matched or matched to Pantone colour. Please contact us.
- How to remove the Glass facial?
- Underneath on underside of the switch there is a rectangular aperture, insert a flat head screw driver and twist carefully. The plastic sub plate with glass attached will un-clip. Ensure you hold the glass whilst twisting otherwise glass facial will drop on the floor and break.
- My LED lamps are pulsing or flashing what do I need to do to fix this?
- This maybe due to LED lamp incompatibility or LED feedback issues to the switch, to fix this either change the lamps or purchase a Danlers Reload (this will place a false load on the system and fixes the issue 99% of the time, need 1 per gang).
- Do I need to rewire my house to be able to use your switches or sockets?
- No, all our switches and sockets use exactly same wiring as you already have, saving you time and most importantly money.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS- Not sure how to wire Touch light switch?
- All electrical wiring must be done by qualified electrician or similarly qualified person. Instructions enclosed within the box to fit the switch, Always employ a qualified person to avoid damage to the product and for your safety.
- How long will the light switch last for?
- The Touch panel has been tested to last for well over 100,000 touches (Approx 54 years turning on/off 5 times a day).
- Does any of the RetroTouch range come with a warranty or guarantee?
- The Touch switches come with a 2 year warranty from date of purchase, if there is a fault please contact us.
- My Touch light switch is not working but within warranty, what happens now?
- Please contact us before sending the product back for a returns number, we shall then test the product, and repair if faulty, if un-repairable a replacement shall be sent within 7 working days.
- Can I use an LED light bulbs with your light switches?
- Yes, our range of Touch light switches are compatible with LEDs, please contact us for list of compatible lamps. (Please be advised Retrotouch cannot accept responsibility for changes made by lamp manufacturers and cannot guarantee that all dimmable LEDs can be dimmed satisfactorily).
- Can we use your touch switches in the bathroom?
- Our switches are not IP44 rated for bathroom use.li>
