- The switch is 18mm deep we recommend 25mm depth back box, for switches with a lot of wires behind 35mm back box.
- Will your Rocker light switches fit my standard single box?
- Yes, as long as you have minimum of 18mm for the product depth.
- What is the rectangular green pip on switch do?
- The green rectangular pip is a UV stimulated plastic which glows in the dark. (Created more as a design feature than an operating part). The more you expose to natural light the brighter it will glow.
- Is the wiring standard on the Crystal ® Rocker Range?
- Yes, connections on the back of switch have L1, L2 and COM. (For 1 Way and 2 Way switching)If you need to switch one light across three switches, you will require intermediate switches. We sell these also.
- How to remove the Glass facial?
- Underneath on underside of the switch there is a rectangular aperture, insert a flat head screw driver and twist carefully. The plastic sub plate with glass attached will un-clip. Ensure you hold the glass whilst twisting otherwise glass facial will drop on the floor and break.
- What is the size of the Crystal ® Rocker Range ?
- The switch is 86 x 86 mm
- Are glass switches safe to use in my home?
- Yes, the glass is toughened/tempered glass (when broken will crumble into chunks instead of into sharp jagged pieces, less likely to cause injury) with chamfered edges to ensure the glass is Not sharp.
- Will the glass show finger prints easily like a metal switch does?
- The glass does not show finger prints like a metal switch, not necessary to continually buff the switch, the glass is very easy to clean and is very hygienic.
- Can I match the colour of my glass splash back with your switches ?
- Yes, for an additional cost the glass can be sent away to UK company to get colour matched or matched to Pantone colour. Please contact us.
- Do I need to rewire my house to be able to use your switches or sockets?
- o, all our switches and sockets use exactly same wiring as you already have, saving you time and most importantly money.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS - Not sure how to wire light switch?
- All electrical wiring must be done by qualified electrician or similarly qualified person. Instructions enclosed within the box to fit the switch, Always employ a qualified person to avoid damage to the product and for your safety.
- How long will the light switch last for?
- The mechanical switch shall last for well over 100,000 times (Approx 54 years turning on/off 5 times a day).
- Does any of the RetroTouch range come with a warranty or guarantee?
- The mechanical switches come with a 10 year warranty from date of purchase, if there is a fault please contact us.
- My light switch is not working but within warranty, what happens now?
- Please contact us before sending the product back for a returns number, we shall then test the product, and repair if faulty, if un-repairable a replacement shall be sent within 7 working days.
- Can I use an LED light bulbs with your light switches?
- Yes, the whole range of light switches are compatible.
- With arthritis I have difficulty turning on/off toggle light switches will I have the same problem?
- Our light switches have large rocker buttons unlike other brands, which make switching on and off a lot easier with minimal force. Alternately our glass touch panel range, requires no pressure to turn on or off your lights, with the added benefit of remote control so no need to get up.
- Can we use your rocker switches in the bathroom?
- Our switches are not IP44 rated for bathroom use. Although no IP rating required for Zone 3, you may use Crystal PG touch switches as one continous glass face plate
- How to wire intermediate rocker switch?
- The intermeidate shall work/wire in the same way as conventional intermediate switches, it requires link wires please click here to download wiring diagram.
